Country house with sea views in a prominent location

Description

This 170 m² house is located on a 425 m² plot at an altitude of 180 m above sea level. It boasts fantastic views of the sea and the Los Organos cliffs and is situated in the small village of Guillama in the north-west of the island. It is positioned at the edge of the village, which comprises just a few houses. The road leading to it ends there. It is a charming, quiet place with a unique atmosphere. A footpath leads from the village down to the beach. Like all beaches in the north of the island, it can be a little rough and not always safe for swimming, but it is also ideal for bathing in the shallows. You can enjoy beautiful walks directly from here, or simply relax and take in the view.

Equipment

The former farmhouse comprises two traditional stone buildings with a courtyard between them.
The lower part of the house has recently been completely remodelled. It contains a bedroom, a spacious living room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a terrace with stunning sea views. Access to the bathroom is from the terrace. There is also another sheltered, partially covered terrace in the entrance area of this part of the house.
The upper part of the house contains two further bedrooms and a second bathroom, as well as a larger room with sea-facing windows and a fireplace for cooler winter days. Two storage rooms are located slightly above this area.
There is also a sun terrace between the two houses, which also has beautiful sea views.

The house can be accessed via a level footpath measuring about 50 metres from the car park, where the road also ends.

Miscellaneous

Guillama is located below the village of Arguamul. As well as its beautiful location and fantastic views, it is characterised by its low altitude of only 180 metres above sea level, which usually results in a mild, balanced climate. The area also enchants people with its unspoilt, wild nature. It is a piece of old La Gomera. However, the northwest of the island has a harsher climate in places. Strong winds are not uncommon here, and it rains more frequently than in the milder south.

Guillama can be accessed from the main road via a narrow side road. Only the first part and the last section of the road are asphalted. While it is easy to drive on, it is also narrow in places and somewhat steep, offering spectacular views. Those who are not comfortable with heights or sheer drops should bear this in mind.
