Large wine finca in prime growing location near Chipude

Finca El Rajadero is located above the mountain village of Chipude in the El Rajadero area, at 1150 meters above sea level, in a small valley. It is one of the best wine-growing areas on the island. It covers an area of 49,350 m², of which around 26,100 m² are planted entirely with vines. Partly with very old vines. The rest of the property is largely woodland. The property is situated on a slope and is divided into two parts, separated by a narrow wooded plot. The entire plot is on a slope facing north. There is a dirt road, which makes it easy to reach the higher areas with a four-wheel drive vehicle. Access to the finca is via a small asphalted road. There is a small building of around 25 m² at the entrance to the finca, which is used for storage. There is also a water tank for about 60,000 liters, which can be filled with water from the stream in winter. An irrigation system with drip irrigation is also installed on the entire wine-growing area for the drier summer months. Irrigation is not absolutely necessary and is not normally used, but can lead to better quality wine, according to the owner.
Various grape varieties are present, such as the white wine varieties Forastera Gomera and Listán Blanco and, in small numbers, the red wine varieties Negra Moll and Listàn Negro. According to the owner, the annual yield is around 8000 kg of grapes, which produces around 5000 to 6000 liters of wine.
